The 2024 Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) Summit was held in Beijing from September 4th to 6th.
Yanks Shitta Lawal, a representative from Nigeria, expressed her optimism about the growing collaboration between China and Africa at the event. She stressed the importance of strengthening business ties between the two regions, stating, "We are happy about this cooperation between Africa and China. We are looking to see how to deepen the business relationship between the continent and China."
Lawal also commended China's approach to opening up its economy, particularly through government-to-government cooperation, which she believes will enhance business-to-business interactions. "When there is a government-to-government entry, it makes it easier for business-to-business cooperation. So I think it's a wonderful initiative, and we are very happy about that," she concluded.
