On July 7, the 2023 Pan-Pearl River Delta (PPRD) Regional Cooperation Chief Executive Joint Conference was held in Guiyang, Guizhou Province. The PPRD region comprises nine provinces or regions in eastern, central, and western China, including Guangdong, Fujian, Jiangxi, Hunan, Guangxi, Hainan, Sichuan, Guizhou, Yunnan, as well as the Hong Kong SAR and Macao SAR.

At the conference, leaders from the PPRD Region discussed the issues such as "promoting the industrial transfer, coordinating the improvement of industrial chains and supply chains", "building a combined transport system and an efficient logistics network", and others.
According to the conference, in 2023, the PPRD members should focus on promoting high-quality development, deepening regional cooperation, furthering economic development, and optimizing the regional economic layout.
It is hoped to promote Hong Kong and Macao to better integrate into the overall development of the country, and promote the long-term prosperity and stability of Hong Kong and Macao with the deepening PPRD regional cooperation.
Meanwhile, leaders from the PPRD Region signed a meeting summary to highlight seven key works of this year: to accelerate the construction of a new pattern of coordinated regional development, to promote the construction of major cooperation platforms, to strengthen the interconnection of infrastructure and improve the modern comprehensive transportation system, to build a modern industrial system and enhance in-depth cooperation of industrial chains and supply chains, to promote market integration, to promote the construction of regional ecological civilization, and to promote cooperation in government services and social affairs.
Finally, the conference confirmed that the 2024 PPRD Regional Cooperation Chief Executive Joint Conference will be held in Yunnan Province.
