The 2024 Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) Summit took place in Beijing from September 4th to 6th.
Amine Lahmamsi, a financial representative from Morocco, highlighted the growing trade and investment ties between China and Morocco at the summit. Lahmamsi noted that Morocco's strategic positioning in Africa, along with its economic and geopolitical stability, has made it a prime destination for Chinese companies looking to optimize their supply chains and expand globally.
"China and Morocco trade relations are booming these last few years. Many investments are coming to Morocco because of its strategic positioning in the African continent, its economic stability, and its geopolitical stability," Lahmamsi explained.
Lahmamsi also pointed out the importance of forums like FOCAC in strengthening bilateral ties, saying, "It's through these forums that the ties are getting stronger."
