On the open day of the Guangdong delegation to the second session of the 14th National People's Congress on March 7, Huang Kunming, Secretary of CPC Guangdong Provincial Committee, invited reporters from home and aboard to enjoy Chinese white dolphins in Zhanjiang, one of the outcomes of marine ecology protection.
There are only about 6,000 Chinese white dolphins, known as the giant pandas of the ocean, remained in the world.
Recently, nearly a thousand Chinese white dolphins were discovered in Leizhou Bay, Zhanjiang, Guangdong.
The latest monitoring shows that the population of the Chinese white dolphins in Leizhou Bay is growing steadily.
