On the afternoon of June 26, the 3rd China-Kazakhstan Sub-national Cooperation Forum was held during the 8th China-Eurasia Expo. The forum discussed further cooperation between China and Kazakhstan in foreign trade, agriculture and other fields. According to the data, the trade volume between Kazakhstan and China increased from $24.2 billion in 2022 to $31.5 billion in 2023, making China Kazakhstan's largest trading partner. Ramadan Aidan Berikovich, Chairman of the Management Board of Almaty Business Development Company, accepted SFC's interview and expressed that China and Kazakhstan have maintained a close relationship since the Silk Road era.
