When taking a thorough look at American families’ fund portfolios, chances are very high that you will find they have exposure to ammunition manufacturers or companies that sell guns, although the families probably just bought an educational fund.
The investment into ammunition manufacturers is quite profitable. According to IBISWorld, guns and ammunition manufacturing revenue grew at a compound annual growth rate of 5.6% to 21 billion USD over the past five years. For example, the return on invested capital of the US gun manufacturer Smith and Wesson reached 55.38 percent in 2022, showed in statistics from Morningstar.
However, the profits are at the cost of the lives of civilians including children both inside and outside the US.
