Plum blossoms in full bloom in Guangzhou's Huangpu

Visiting Luogang in Guangzhou's Huangpu District to marvel at the plum blossoms in full bloom has now become a winter delight for numerous locals and tourists.

According to meteorological forecast, the peak bloom period, when 50%-80% of the flowers are in full bloom, has arrived around January 5, 2025, and will last for about 10 days. 

Locations and guides for viewing plum blossoms

Luogang Xiangxue Park

During the peak bloom period, visitors can enjoy the magnificent scenery of plum blossoms at any attraction within the park, such as Qingmeiyuan, Xiangxue Corridor, Meixiang Lake, Xiangxue Pavilion, and Aimei Hall.

Transportation guide: Take Metro Line 6 to the Xiangxue Station, and transfer to a shuttle bus at Exit F to Xiangxue Park.

Shimin Square

Shimin Square is planted with over 1,000 plum blossom trees, mainly in Xiangxueyuan, Meihua Hill, and along the corridor, with white and red varieties. Walking along the corridor, visitors can see the plum blossoms peeping out from the ancient blue-tiled white walls, with an ancient charm everywhere. Taking a photo at any spot will result in a stunning wallpaper image.

Tram: Get off at Civic Square Station on Line 1.

Metro: Get off at Exit F or G of Metro Line 6 at Luogang Station.

Yushu Park

Yushu Park is planted with over 800 plum blossom trees, mostly white plums, evenly distributed in the central area of the park. Walking around the park along the footpaths, visitors will be amazed by the plum blossoms at every turn.

Transportation guide: Take Metro Line 21 to Science City Station and walk about 1 kilometer.

Chuangxin Park

Chuangxin Park is also a nice place to view plum blossoms. With over 1,500 plum blossom trees planted in the park, the snow-white plum blossoms stand tall on the branches, with their fragrance wafting in the breeze. New footpaths have been built in the plum blossom forest to facilitate close-up viewing by visitors. Besides plum blossom viewing, it is also a good choice to engage in sports and stroll with children here. Visitors can play basketball, tennis, badminton, and table tennis at the sports plaza.

Transportation guide: Take Metro Line 6 to Xiangxue Station and transfer to Bus 569 to Zhushu Park Station.
