From May 13 to 15, just days after a powerful earthquake struck the country's southwest on May 12, a total of 23,180 people donated blood for the victims, and 6.3 tons of blood was collected.
To avoid waste, all blood donation centers in Guangdong arranged an appointment donation service and nearly 400,000 people and 2000 organizations have registered so far.
