The Young Volunteer Association in Haizhu District has begun to recruit volunteers for the 103rd China Import and Export Fair (CIEF) which is scheduled to be held in late April 2008 at the Pazhou Complex. It has been said that 2,000 volunteers would be recruited for voluntary services regarding etiquette, translating or interpreting, and order maintenance. In addition, there would be voluntary service centers providing various services including massage.

Statistics showed that 1,100 volunteers in total served last year's CIEF. The 12-day 102nd session witnessed volunteers helping to solve as many as 115 difficulties and troubles encountered by foreign merchants.

In terms of the recruitment plan, 100 volunteers would be people from all sectors of society and the rest would be students.
