The first unmanned aerial vehicle competition in Guangzhou will be held tomorrow, May 7, at 2 p.m.
The local event is part of the first national unmanned aerial vehicle competition. Thirty-nine enterprises will take part here, including 34 Guangdong entrants. The competition will cover a variety of vehicle models, such as 3D fixed wing, 3DX helicopter, UAV aerial fancy flying performance, fixed wing unmanned aerial vehicle, and model airplane performance by college students.
The event will be held at the eastern athletic field of the Guangzhou Higher Education Mega Center (island) on the Sun Yat-sen University campus. Due to limited parking space, organizers suggest that visitors travel to the competition by public transportation rather than by car. Also, weather reports call for thunder showers Saturday, so attendees might want to take along umbrellas.
