Seven flights, carrying 252 people injured in the massive earthquake in Sichuan Province, arrived Guangdong for medical treatment late yesterday (May 21).
Hospitals in Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Foshan had prepared themselves to receive the injured in the quake, and a total of 1000 beds had set aside for them.
A total of 67 injured arrived in Shenzhen late last night. Most of them, aged between 8 and 70, are natives of Qingchuan County, one of the worst-hit areas, and had suffered fractures.
The first batch of 31 quake injured had arrived at Guangzhou on Tuesday.
