Under the warm spring sunshine, farmeras in Nanye Village, Maonan District, Maoming are bustling as the harvest season begins.


Taking advantage of the region's warm and humid climate, the village has expanded winter planting, with crops such as corn and chili peppers now ready for harvest. Farmers are busy picking and sorting fresh produce, bringing in the season's bounty.


In recent years, Nanye Village has made better use of idle farmland by expanding winter planting, which has helped boost grain output and improve agricultural efficiency. With support from the local government in technology, farm supplies, and market access, scattered plots have been consolidated to increase productivity. The initiative has ensured a stable agricultural supply while creating local jobs and increasing the village's collective income.
