

Starting this year, the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin began hosting a series of interesting urban events, such as music festivals, marathons, and creativity fairs. All of them have attracted an increasing number of tourists and infused energy into the zone.



In February, the Hengqin Tianmu River Grassland Music Festival took place and featured 30 music groups from the Greater Bay Area and across the country. Crowds came from far and wide to enjoy this musical feast.



Four years after its 2018 inception, the Hengqin Marathon has become an iconic representation of the region in the realm of athletics. At dawn on February 26, 12,000 participants set out on an adventure to test their limits for the event.


The China-Hengqin China-Latin Dance International Championship was held from March 14 to March 19. Dancers wore captivating costumes and exhibited their talent throughout the entire event.



On March 10, locals and tourists alike were treated to a spectacular festival of Chinese and Portuguese cuisine and culture at the “Vamos Desfrutar”, a special fair for products from Portuguese-speaking countries and Macao. On March 24, the Macao-Hengqin Craft Market also took the stage in the Greater Bay Area.
