Liuhuahu Park
According to folklore, the park was an imperial palace in ancient times. Court ladies were not supposed to leave the palace, so they put flowers in the river to express their longings for distant relatives. “Liuhua” means the flowers floating in the river and the park is named for its Liuhua Bridge, an ancient site of the Southern Han Dynasty. It is renowned for Eight Scenes of Liuhua, among which the “Misty Rain over the Lotus Pond” is a visual feast for visitors in the summer.

Baomo Garden
Baomo Garden is originally built in the late years of the Qing Dynasty and rebuilt in 1995. It is the combination of the features of the Qing Dynasty, the Lingnan horticulture, and the style of the Pearl River Delta. Because of its deep cultural connotation, many visitors find it a prime place to wear hanfu (a type of dress worn by the ancient Han people) and take pictures. Moreover, the garden has successfully cultivated the autumn lotus. If visitors disappointingly miss the lotus in the summer, you are welcomed by the garden’s He Hua Chi (the Lotus Pond) in the autumn.
