Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport inaugurated Terminal 3 (T3) and the fifth runway on October 30.
The newly opened Terminal 3 features a sleek design that integrates real natural landscaping, gardens, viewing platforms, and technological installations where a smart virtual model manages everything from predicting crowds and reducing delays to cargo handling and preventing problems.
User-friendly amenities such as sleep pods, separate restrooms for individuals with disabilities and families with young children, and chicly designed seating areas are also available to meet diverse passenger needs.
The expansion enables the airport to handle 120 million passengers and 3.8 million tonnes of cargo annually. Easily connected to nearby cities with an inner-city rail station and metro, T3 is expected to significantly improve connectivity and passenger capacity in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
