On December 22, 2025, a seven-day media camp brought together 35 top university students from around the world to Nansha, Guangzhou's southernmost district.
Located at the geographic center of the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area, Nansha offers a unique blend of blue waters, wetlands, and beaches, providing a natural setting for sustainable development.
Participants also explored Nansha's culinary culture, sampling fresh seafood and classic Cantonese dishes that reflect the region's rich traditions.
The camp highlighted Nansha's commitment to fostering young talent and innovation. At The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou), students learned about the Red Bird program and local policies, including housing support and allowances, designed to promote entrepreneurship and multidisciplinary collaboration. Visits to semiconductor facilities, biotech labs, and international investment events further showcased Nansha's growing role in high-end industries and global cooperation.
Encounters with international visitors at Nansha Port underscored the district's openness and global connectivity.
More than just a geographic hub of the Greater Bay Area, Nansha is emerging as a dynamic crossroads where ecology, technology, and tradition converge, creating a gateway to the world and a future of vast potential.
