On the night of November 6, Guangdong Men's Basketball Team secured a spot in the quarterfinals of the 15th National Games ahead of schedule after defeating Jiangsu 96-73 in the second round of the group stage at Dongguan Basketball Center.
Despite trailing in the first half, Guangdong surged ahead in the third quarter and never looked back. Xu Jie led the team with 29 points, while Wang Ruizhe added an impressive double-double of 27 points and 11 rebounds.
With this victory, Guangdong improved to a perfect 2-0 record in the group stage, ensuring their advance to the last eight. The team will next face Zhejiang on November 8.
