The 2026 Foshan Ancient Town High-Quality Cultural and Tourism Development Conference was held on April 22.
At the event, there were not only the signing of cooperation projects for the new economic industry financing risk compensation fund and key cultural tourism projects, but also the full restart of the renovation and upgrading of the Liansheng Area of Foshan Ancient Town. Also, it marked the inauguration of the South-Foshan Ancient Town International Communication Hub, Guangdong's first sub-district-level international communication hub.
Foshan Ancient Town was one of the "Four Famous Towns" and one of the four major business hubs in the Ming and Qing dynasties, as well as an important node on the Maritime Silk Road. It boasts high-density Lingnan culture resources. A city walk in Foshan Ancient Town allows you to experience traditional Lingnan culture such as Cantonese Opera, paper cutting and Lion Dance.
At the event, Liang Jinzhao, Secretary of the Party Working Committee of Zumiao Sub-district, sent an invitation to the world in English.
