The "two rivers" refer to the Xijiang and Beijiang Rivers. The pilot zone focuses on key development areas surrounding these rivers, covering 12 towns and subdistricts across the city's five districts.

This pilot zone represents the strategic intersection of Foshan's Northward Strategy and Westward Development plans. It is rich in industrial and cultural-tourism resources, with significant growth potential. Foshan aims to transform it into a new engine of urban development.

To accelerate the zone's development, Foshan will launch six major projects focused on industry, culture, and tourism, and water management.
