On October 21, Dongguan Nancheng Yangguang Experimental Middle School kicked off its science and technology festival, alongside an optical-themed science exhibition. The event also featured a series of competitions, exhibitions, and interactive experiences aimed at stimulating students' scientific thinking.
The highlight of the day was a presentation titled "Exploring the Ends of the Earth - Antarctic Research," delivered by Dr. Zhang Xiaohui, a biology teacher at Dongguan High School. Through her experiences in Antarctica and ocean research, she educated students about the local climate, wildlife, ecological protection, and scientific exploration. It's worth noting that, Dr. Zhang is the first science vice principal at Dongguan High School and among the high school teacher community in Dongguan.
Dongguan High School has excellent resources for science and technology education. In the future, we will further implement the Dongguan High School Science and Technology Innovation Talent Cultivation Program for students, showcasing our strengths and responsibilities.
In the future, more members of the doctoral scientific education team from Dongguan High School will join the outreach efforts.
