Gunilla Lindberg, Secretary-General of the Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC), recalled visiting the Greater Bay Area Culture and Sports Center in Nansha, Guangzhou during its early construction. Now, she sees it as a world-class venue and suggested the GBA could one day bid to host major events like the Olympic Games.
