The 15th National Games, China's sports gala, with its opening ceremony on Nov 9, is setting up media centers in Guangzhou, Hong Kong and Macao with high-quality support services for journalists to cover the Games, as was stated at a press conference held on Nov 5 in Guangzhou.
On November 5, journalists got a glimpse of the abundant services at the Main Media Center (MMC) in Guangzhou. Besides functional working and rest area, the center highlights its curated culinary offerings and products and cultural experience zone.
For 3,200 registered journalists, it's not just a workspace: there's a Guangdong trendy toy exhibit with Intangible Cultural Heritage-themed models, daily city-specific food days, and agricultural product stalls where specialty products from each of Guangdong's 21 cities take their turn on the showcase on a daily basis.
With these, "visiting" 21 Guangdong cities, tasting their iconic food, and exploring local culture—all in one media center becomes a reality. Click on the video to see how.
