"This is my third summer visiting Zhenshan since the summer vacation of 2023," said Alina, an international student at Guangdong University of Finance and Economics, excitedly. "Zhenshan has once again revealed a new charm this year!"
Since Guangdong implemented the "High-Quality Development Project for Hundreds of Counties, Thousands of Towns, and Tens of Thousands of Villages," Zhenshan Town in Sihui City, Zhaoqing, has forged ahead with determination, achieving remarkable results over the past three years. The "Capturing China" practice team of Chisha Media at Guangdong University of Finance and Economics has continuously tracked and documented the development and changes in Zhenshan Town over these three years. During this period, they have released three seasons of the micro-documentary series Hi, Zhenshan—International Students Tell the Story of High-Quality Development in Guangdong's Zhenshan (Season 1: 5 episodes, Season 2: 4 episodes, Season 3: 3 episodes).
The third season continues to explore, from the unique perspective of international students, stories of Zhenshan's high-quality development in cultural tourism and homestays, future communities, and agricultural industries.
Episode 1: Zhenshan Homestay
What kind of Lingnan living philosophy does international student Alina discover among the black-tiled, white-walled buildings in Zhenshan, Zhaoqing? From the intangible cultural heritage of "paper storytelling" to the poetic charm of a "water town in southern China," Zhenshan's homestays redefine "living" as more than just accommodation—they become a gentle dialogue with the land and culture.
Episode 2: Zhenshan Future Community
When international students encounter "Wuxiang" by the Suijiang River, the Bihaiwan Community in Zhaoqing bridges distances with warmth and enhances life with technology, offering a vivid example of future community governance.
Episode 3: The Diaoshui Fish Industry in Zhenshan
In the idyllic countryside, international students explore the natural secrets of fish-water symbiosis. How does this lively "diaoshui " fish pave a prosperous path for rural revitalization?
