Foshan Ancient Town aspires to become a world-class cultural heritage site

How will Foshan's Chancheng District develop in the next five years? What new moves will there be in culture and tourism? On December 29, the CPC Chancheng District Committee held a plenary session, unveiling many new plans.

Located in the western part of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, Chancheng, Foshan, is a key birthplace of Lingnan Cantonese culture. During the "14th Five-Year Plan", its GDP led the city with an output value exceeding 240 billion yuan. In culture and tourism, it shines internationally.

The recent plenary session revealed that Chancheng will dig deeper into its Maritime Silk Road cultural significance, build a ceramic cultural landmark, and promote Foshan Ancient Town for World Cultural Heritage status. It'll also strengthen the exploration of national national intangible cultural heritages and support other tourism projects. Chancheng's cultural tourism future is promising!
