According to statistics, over the past 35 years since participating in United Nations peacekeeping operations, the Chinese military has dispatched more than 50,000 peacekeeping personnel and cumulatively participated in 25 UN peacekeeping operations, operating in over 20 countries and regions. China is the largest contributor of peacekeeping troops among the permanent members of the UN Security Council.
