"Charming Guangdong, Living My Dream": Belarusian student finds life lessons in Chinese art

The "Charming Guangdong, Living My Dream" International Student Gala will be held on December 3 at Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine.

The gala is set to bring together thousands of international students from more than 50 countries. With music, dance, and language performances, students will share what life and learning in China, especially in Guangdong, have meant to them.

Before the gala, Katsiaryna Dziabiolaya, a Belarusian student from Shenzhen University, shared her story in a video message. She expressed her love for Chinese calligraphy and ink painting during her time in Shenzhen, noting that the arts have taught her valuable life lessons. Although the strokes appear simple and graceful, even holding the brush requires practice. "There's no taking back a stroke once it's painted. It's the same in life; I hope we can all commit fully and move with ease," she said, sending her best wishes to fellow students.
