Executive Director of Asia Chamber of America: Canton Fair is our way out for doing business with Asia

As the 138th Canton Fair unfolds (Oct 15-Nov 4), a special event titled "My Canton Fair Story" sharing session took place on October 25, 2025. This session brought together a diverse group of international buyers and Chinese exhibitors to share their unique experiences and insights, showcasing how the Canton Fair serves as a vital bridge for global trade, friendship, and innovation.

As trade relations between China and the United States continue to ebb and flow through rounds of negotiations, both sides remain deeply intertwined in the global economy. On October 25, the Chinese and U.S. delegations convened for talks on economic and trade issues. The two sides will hold consultations on important issues in China-U.S. economic and trade ties in accordance with the important consensus reached by the heads of state of the two countries during their phone calls this year.

Amid shifting policies and complex geopolitics, the enduring links between businesses tell a story grounded in reality. Leo Chan (Chen Liaorui), Executive Director of Asia Chamber of America, once again attended the Canton Fair in Guangzhou and, as one of the speakers at the event, said, "Most of our members actually do business with Asia. For us, and for the members of our chamber who look for suppliers and products, the Canton Fair is their way out—no doubt about that."
