Jinzi Mountain in Lianshan, Qingyuan, Guangdong, recorded its first icicle scenery of the 2025 winter season on the morning of November 18 as temperatures at the summit dropped to –2 °C to 4 °C. Authorities say the best viewing time will be November 19.

Across Qingyuan, early-morning temperatures on November 18 fell to 7 °C–15 °C, while high-altitude areas reached lows of -0.9 °C–4 °C, facilitating the rapid formation of rime and icicles on the mountain.

Nearby Yunbing Mountain, located on the border between Qingyuan's Lianzhou and Hunan's Lanshan County, also reported its first icicle formations of the season, marking the arrival of early winter in the region.
