Kishore Mahbubani, Singapore's former ambassador to the UN, recently witnessed a key piece of infrastructure that leads the future in South China's Guangdong. As his car traversed the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link during his trip in Guangdong, he called it "a stunning bridge." The crossing, which now takes just 30 minutes, has slashed a journey that once required over two hours of driving.
For Mahbubani, this is more than a shortcut—it is a physical manifestation of China's Greater Bay Area's accelerating integration and a testament to China's capacity to turn ambitious blueprints into reality.
