The 2025 "Shi Chao" (Lion Dance Super League) Carnival, themed around the High-quality Development Project for Guangdong Counties, Towns, and Villages (hereinafter referred to as "the Project"), opened at Huacheng Square in Guangzhou on December 27.

Aligned with the milestone marking initial achievements after three years of the Project, the Shi Chao Carnival featured three main sections: lion dance competitions, brand showcases, and a public benefit market.

In the southern area of Huacheng Square, the Project's achievements corridor brought together 13 themed booths, along with exhibition zones on artificial intelligence and the low-altitude economy, showcasing Guangzhou's strengths in technology, cultural and creative industries, intangible cultural heritage, and landmark products, attracting large numbers of visitors.

At the Sunken Plaza in the southern area of Huacheng Square, 32 top lion dance teams from 18 provinces across China, as well as Hong Kong SAR and Macao SAR, and all 11 districts of Guangzhou gathered to compete in the Southern lion dance segment of the 2025 China Lion King Super Challenge.

The public benefit market took place on December 28, featuring a focus on initiatives in smart agriculture for high-quality development, Guangzhou's landmark architecture, and the international neighborhood development project.
