At the 2025 Global Investment Promotion Conference for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) held on November 3 in Guangzhou, Nick Panhwar, CEO of Panhwar Jet, expressed strong interest in establishing advanced manufacturing partnerships within the GBA, with ambitious plans to ramp up aircraft production.
"We are looking to sign and bring on some local partners, especially trying to figure out how to set up the manufacturing system here," said Nick Panhwar. The executive emphasized that the region's technological mindset and manufacturing capabilities were key factors driving their partnership decision.
"Most of the people here have a different mentality. They want to do things using technology," he observed, highlighting the alignment with their production needs.
The company specifically pointed to the region's leadership in robotics innovation as a major draw for their manufacturing plans. "Because obviously, innovation is happening, especially in manufacturing robotics," the representative noted, indicating the advanced technological environment the GBA offers.
Nick Panhwar also revealed production goals that necessitate the advanced manufacturing capabilities found in the GBA. "Because for us, we want to build about 4,000 airplanes a year," Nick Panhwar disclosed. To achieve these targets, the company is looking to leverage the region's manufacturing efficiency and workforce capabilities.
