It is now the lychee season in Guangdong. On May 25, the "One-minute lychee peeling challenge", initiated by Rupert Hoogewerf, Hurun Chairman & Chief Researcher, kicked off with great excitement at the Guangzhou office of Pony.ai. Hoogewerf and Peng Jun, Co-founder and CEO of Pony.ai, took on the roles of "Lychee Challengers" and battled it out to peel the most lychees within a minute.
As a passionate admirer of Eastern culture, Hoogewerf was eager to share the Oriental Fruit of Love—Guangdong lychee—with the rest of the world.
In the office where Rupert Hoogewerf and Peng Jun were chatting, Zungly Agricultural Group had set out trays of "Oriental Fruit of Love" that the group is working to introduce to the international market. These lychees are about to be exported to over 40 countries and regions around the world.
