On the afternoon of October 25, at a sharing session titled "My Canton Fair Story" held during the 138th Canton Fair, Gao Bin, General Manager of Hong Technology Co., Ltd., shared how a specific client request opened his eyes to a new business strategy: deep customization for niche markets.
Gao, who first attended the Canton Fair over a decade ago, noted that the event consistently reveals future industry trends. "At the Canton Fair, we can always see the direction of our future," he observed, "including changes we can find here over the next three, five, or even more years. We can also find more certainty."
His experience at this year's Fair was particularly revealing. "What surprised me the most was the customer demand—a demand-oriented, deeply customized need," Gao shared. This shift from standard products to tailored solutions marks a significant evolution in global buyer expectations.
Gao recalled a compelling example from this edition of the Fair. A client from the Middle East presented a unique challenge: severe local sandstorms led to heavy dust accumulation in air-conditioning ducts. Manual cleaning was extremely difficult and very costly.
"This demand goes beyond the scope of our standard products," Gao admitted, "but it precisely points to a niche market we have not yet deeply explored." That is why he keeps coming back to the Canton Fair—always the direction of the future is here.
