On the evening of March 21, the 2026 Guangdong City Basketball League (YueBA) season kicked off in Guangzhou, with Zhongshan visiting Guangzhou and mounting a last-minute comeback to win 86–83.
The tournament not only offered exciting basketball action but also partnered with local brands to provide fan perks both inside and outside the arena. On-site, 16,000 dining coupons were distributed, covering a range of discounts, while popular restaurants such as Guangzhou Restaurant and Tao Tao Ju offered 20% off signature roasted pigeon dishes.
In Zhongshan, more than 100 restaurants, hotels, and commercial districts extended special offers to ticket holders. The 2026 YueBA features participation from all 21 cities in Guangdong, with 125 games scheduled from March through August, combining grassroots basketball with citywide engagement. Throughout the season, additional perks will be introduced, allowing fans to enjoy not only the games but also local cuisine and cultural experiences.
