As April begins, Guangzhou welcomes its vibrant flower season. Along with the blossoms, a variety of cultural activities await during the Qingming Festival (a traditional Chinese holiday to honor ancestors). Come and experience the lively spirit of Guangzhou!
During the Qingming Festival holiday (April 4-6), the South China National Botanical Garden will host a special exhibition on Orchidaceae medicinal plants, where visitors can learn about the healing properties of these flowers while admiring their beauty.
Meanwhile, the cherry blossoms at Baomo Garden in Panyu District are in full bloom. Be one of the first 300 visitors to purchase combo tickets for Baomo Garden + Nanyue Yuan and earn the chance to join in an archery competition with exciting prizes.

At Yuyin Shanfang Garden, the 5th Amaryllis Exhibition (running until April 6) showcases stunning varieties from the Netherlands, Japan, and China's Taiwan. The event also features an Amaryllis-themed sharing session and a handmade gray sculpture workshop.

For art lovers, the Guangdong Museum presents its new exhibition—"Land of the Sun: Treasures of Iranian Art and Culture" (until June 17). Featuring 151 artifacts from five Iranian museums, it offers a glimpse into the rich Persian heritage. Visitors can also try their hand at the traditional plant rubbing technique, a form of intangible cultural heritage.

The Nanyue King Museum is hosting a DIY Artemisia argyi sachet activity. On April 4–6, visitors can also participate in creative workshops, crafting shell candleholders and mosaic glass lamps.
