China Southern Airlines adopts new ticket refund and change rules

The new involuntary ticket change and refund rules of China Southern Airlines took effect from midnight on January 10.

According to the new policy, free ticket changes and refunds apply to situations of force majeure such as aircraft type change resulting in non-availability, flight change resulting in change of itinerary, flight stopover delays.

The airline carrier has also adjusted the ticket handling rules under special circumstances. For instance, travellers can change their tickets twice free of charge if they have to travel on their own due to the flight changes of their companions. And travellers who have purchased a combined ticket and are unable to catch the next flight due to an involuntary change in some segments can do the same.

In addition, the scope of free ticket changes and refunds due to travellers filling in incorrect information, such as name, ID card, flight number, date of travel, class of travel, and duplicate orders, has also been expanded. If the ticket price is reduced after purchase, travellers can repurchase the ticket within 24 hours, and the original ticket can be refunded in full if it meets the conditions.
