The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (hereinafter referred to as the Greater Bay Area) has an economic output of more than 14 trillion yuan and has become one of the most promising growth poles in the world. Not only is the region taking the lead in economic vitality and openness, but it is also leading in cultural and media innovations in China.
当代大学生是新闻传播工作至关重要的后备力量,以青年人的视角观看全球、描绘社会,有着独特的传播力和影响力。为鼓励青年大学生的创新创作,增强新闻传播作品的国际化水平,特举办“首届粤港澳大湾区大学生国际传播作品大赛”,遴选优秀国际传播作品。
College students are the future talents in news and media. With their fresh and young perspectives, they offer unique insights into global and social issues and are able to make an impact. To encourage youth creativity and advance the global reach of media content, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area International Communication Competition for College Students, as the first edition of its kind, aims to discover the Greater Bay Area's stories as told by students to the world.
此次比赛面向在校大学生(包括大专、本科、硕士生和博士生),参赛人员以粤港澳三地的在校学生为主,也欢迎其它省市的同学参加。
The competition is open to all students registered at universities and colleges, including junior college students, undergraduates, master's students and PhD candidates. While it is expected that most participants will be from universities and colleges in Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao, participants from other provinces are also welcomed.

大赛日程 Timeline
2024年12月24日:启动报名和申报。各校可以学校、院系或校园媒体等名义集体申报,也鼓励学生以个人身份参赛申报。
Application and submissions open on December 24, 2024. Entries can be submitted either by groups, such as universities, departments, and campus media, or by individuals.
2025年4月1日:截止提交作品,组委会对参赛作品进行分类整理。
Submission deadline: April 1, 2025. The organizing committee start sorting and categorizing all entries.
2025年5月:进行专家评审。组委会将聘请新闻传播业界和学界专家组成评审委员会,对申报材料进行评审。评奖结果产生后,将在广州市举行颁奖典礼。
Expert review and evaluation: May 2025. Experts from the media industry and academia are invited to form a judging panel and assess the submissions. Once the results are finalized, an awards ceremony will be held in Guangzhou.
征集内容 What kind of work to submit?
1. 作品主题
“中国故事”“湾区发展”“国际新闻”“全球文明”“环境气候”“日常生活”等与国际传播相关的议题。
Theme
The work that you submit should be on one of the following topics: China's stories, the development of the Greater Bay Area, world news, global civilizations, the environment and climate, everyday life, or any other topics related to international communication.
2. 语言要求
应以外语为写作或创作语言,配上中文翻译(发表时如无中文,则另附中文版)。
Language
The work should be written or created in a non-Chinese language, accompanied by a translation into Chinese. If there is no Chinese translation in the published version, a separate Chinese version must be provided.
3. 作品类别
参赛作品分为五类,包括文字报道、数据新闻、音频视频、纪实摄影、融媒体作品(包括:动画、H5、条漫、新闻游戏等)。
Category
There are five categories: written reports, data journalism, audio or video, documentary photography, and multimedia works (including animations, H5 pages, comic strips, news games, etc.).
4. 作品内容和格式要求
必须是原创内容。严禁剽窃、抄袭,转载、摘抄或整合其他渠道内容的作品不可参赛。作品中不得植入广告,不存在知识产权争议。作品风格不限,要求主题鲜明、逻辑清晰、叙事流畅,传播手段和形式有一定的创新性。参赛作品须内容积极向上,符合社会主义核心价值观。不得涉及色情、暴力、宗教与种族歧视等内容,不能与法律法规相抵触。如有AI辅助,请对AI工作部分进行具体说明。
Content and Format
The work that you submit must be original. Plagiarism is strictly prohibited. Works that are reposted, copied, or compiled from other sources are not eligible for the competition. The content should not include advertisements or involve intellectual property disputes. While any style is welcome, your work should have a clear theme, logical structure, and a coherent narrative, along with some degree of innovation in communication methods and formats. It should not contain any content related to pornography, violence, religious or racial discrimination, or violations of laws or regulations. If AI is used, the AI-contributed parts must be explicitly identified and explained.
(1) 文字报道要求
包括原创的消息、通讯、特稿、深度报道和评论,外文字数不超过3000字,并附中文翻译版,中文翻译字数不超过6000字。文件格式为WORD、PDF,每个作品不能超过10MB。
Requirements for written reports
Written reports can be original news articles, features, investigative reports, or opinion pieces of no more than 3,000 words in a non-Chinese language. Please also attach its Chinese translation of no more than 6,000 words. The files should be submitted in WORD or PDF less than 10MB in size.
(2) 数据新闻作品要求
必须有原创的数据分析内容、可视化呈现,不可直接截图其他来源的数据图表。文件格式为PDF或JPG,每个作品不超过10MB。
Requirements for data journalism
The submission must include original data analysis and visual designs. Screenshot of data charts from other sources is not accepted. The file should be submitted in PDF or JPG less than 10MB in size.
(3) 音视频作品要求
单个作品不超过8分钟,文件大小不超过300MB。配音应为外语,附上外语及中文字幕。音频作品以MP3格式上传。视频作品以MP4格式上传。
Requirements for audio or videos
Each submission should be less than 8 minutes in length and less than 300 MB in size. The voiceover should be in a non-Chinese language, with multilingual ( the chosen non-Chinese language and Chinese) subtitles provided. Audios should be uploaded in MP3 and videos in MP4.
(4) 纪实摄影类作品要求
应为原创作品、一次性拍成的原始图像,不得进行影像的添加、涂抹或合成等后期技术处理,仅可进行适当调色。作品必须真实客观,不接受电脑合成照片和多重曝光。附上文字说明,对每幅(组)作品的拍摄时间、地点、人物、内容背景等作不超过100字(外文)与200字(中文)以内的简要说明。作品为JPEG格式,保留EXIF信息。单张图片尺寸在1024×1024以内,单张大小须限制在10MB内,每组作品不超过6张。
Requirements for documentary photography
Submissions must be original and raw images taken in a single shot with no additional elements, retouching, or image compositing; only minor color grading is accepted. The work must be authentic and objective; computer-generated images and multiple exposures will not be accepted. A brief caption (in both the chosen non-Chinese language and Chinese) should be attached to provide information about each image or set, such as the shooting time, location, subjects, and context. For each image or set, the caption should be no more than 100 words in the chosen non-Chinese language and 200 words in Chinese. The images should be submitted in JPEG, retaining EXIF data. Each image must be no larger than 1024×1024 pixels (or 10 MB), and each set of works should not be more than 6 images.
(5) 融媒体作品
包括动画、H5、条漫、新闻游戏等。以外语为创作语言,配中文翻译(发表时如无中文,则另附中文版翻译)。
Requirements for multimedia works
This category includes animations, H5 pages, comic strips, news games, and other forms of multimedia. Submissions should be written or created in a non-Chinese language, attached with a translation to Chinese. If there is no Chinese translation in the published version, a separate Chinese version must be provided.
奖项设置 Awards
参赛作品按照文字报道、数据新闻、音频视频、纪实摄影、融媒体作品五大类别各自评选出一等奖1名,二等奖2名,三等奖3名,优秀奖若干名。
For each category (Written Reports, Data Journalism, Audio or Videos, Documentary Photography, and Multimedia Works), there will be a First Prize, two Second Prizes, three Third Prizes, and several Honorable Mentions.
同一作品最多可投稿2个类别,投稿多个类别的,评奖时不可重复获奖。同一作者获奖作品不超过2个。
A single work may be submitted to a maximum of two categories, but it cannot receive awards in both categories. Neither the group nor individual author can win more than two awards.
奖金、证书待活动结束后统一发放。
Prizes and certificates will be granted after the competition concludes.
版权要求 Copyright and legal responsibility
1. 参赛作品不能侵犯他人版权、著作权、肖像权、名誉权等权利,因参赛作品所引起的一切侵权责任由参赛者自行承担。
Submitted works must not infringe upon the copyrights, portrait rights, reputation rights, or any other rights of others. The entrant is solely responsible for any legal liabilities arising from right violations related to the submitted work.
2. 参赛作品的版权归原版权所有人所有,活动主办单位尊重并保障参赛作品的著作权。
The copyright of the submitted works remains with the original copyright holder. The event hosts respect and protect the copyright of all submitted works.
3. 活动主办单位拥有参赛作品的使用权(不另付稿酬),保留对作品的后期技术处理权。使用方式包括用于公益宣传或提供给相关媒体公开展示;组织相关单位加强获奖作品文化价值开发,衍生制作一批文创宣介精品等。
The event hosts hold the right to use the submitted works without additional payment and reserve the right to perform further editing. The use of the submitted works includes but is not limited to public welfare promotions, public display by other media, or collaborating with other organizations to develop cultural products or promotional materials, etc. related to the award-winning works.
4. 团队提交作品之版权和著作权等相关事宜,由报名表上填的“申报人”负责。提交作品必须由“申报人”原创,“申报人”应确认拥有作品的著作权,主办方不承担任何权益纠纷。如若出现任何权益纠纷,主办方保留取消其参与活动资格、追回奖项权利,并追究对主办方权益的侵害的权利。多人共同申报的同一作品,请自行协调作者次序后上传作品。主办方将通过参与者投稿时填写的联系方式联系参与者,请留意并及时回复。
For group submissions, the "Applicant" listed on the application form is responsible for copyright and related matters. The "Applicant" should be the original author or one of the original authors of the work that they submit and they must hold the copyright to the work. The hosts are not responsible for any rights disputes. If any rights disputes arise, the hosts reserve the right to disqualify the participant, revoke awards, and seek legal action for any infringement of the hosts' rights. For works with multiple authors, please coordinate the order of authors and register it accordingly. The hosts will contact the "Applicant" using the contact information provided, so please check your messages and emails regularly and reply in time.
