Huizhou's expressway mileage reached 930 kilometers by 2025, ranking third in the province, while its high-speed rail mileage reached 258 kilometers, topping the provincial rankings, according to the latest information released by the Huizhou Transportation Bureau.

Throughout 2025, Huizhou advanced the construction of several expressway projects and launched the northern extension of the Guangzhou-Huizhou intercity train, enhancing regional connectivity and operational efficiency. Huizhou Port now boasts an annual designed throughput capacity of 180 million tons, and the local airport handled 3.36 million passengers during the year.
At present, Huizhou's national and provincial highway network spans a total of 1,400 kilometers, consisting of 6 national highways and 14 provincial highways, providing comprehensive coverage to all towns. The rural road network extends 11,700 kilometers. All eligible administrative villages are now connected by two-lane roads, and 100% of villages have access to public passenger transport. These developments have significantly contributed to urban-rural integration and regional coordination.
