A 16-member media delegation from 10 Arab countries, including Mauritania, Algeria, Egypt, Morocco and Oman, visited Nanfang Media Group Shenzhen Branch for in-depth exchanges on April 22. The delegation highly praised Nanfang Media's integrated development, international communication and innovative projects, expressing strong willingness for future cooperation.

The delegation was in Guangdong to attend the promotional event "Stories of CPC: Achievement of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area in Practising Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era" held on April 23. The event was hosted by the International Department of the CPC Central Committee and the CPC Guangdong Provincial Committee.

During the visit, the guests toured the office area, display wall and all-media system, and held a symposium with the Shenzhen Branch staff. The head of Nanfang Media Group Shenzhen Branch welcomed the delegation and introduced the group's all-media system covering newspapers, magazines, websites, apps and social platforms, reaching more than 460 million users. He noted that the international communication center of the group has built a global media network and is fully preparing for the upcoming APEC Economic Leaders' Informal Meeting in Shenzhen later this year.

Mohamed Ledhem, President of the Mauritanian News Agency and head of the delegation, spoke highly of China's media-tech integration. He emphasized the long-standing friendship between Mauritania and China, citing the Nouakchott Stadium built with Chinese assistance, and voiced hope to strengthen media cooperation between Arab states and China.

Majdouline El Atouabi, Editor-in-Chief of Moroccan newspaper L'Opinion, praised Shenzhen's green environment, advanced technology and open-minded people. With over 20 years of journalism experience, he insisted digital media should uphold the rigor and professionalism of traditional print journalism.

Abdallah Rubae, anchor and senior journalist from Oman TV, commended Nanfang Media's digital innovation and data-driven communication. He recalled the long history of Oman-China exchanges and welcomed the growing Chinese language education in Oman. Rubae also expressed hope for a closer media partnership between the two countries in the future.

The two sides agreed to deepen cooperation in content exchange and international communication, aiming to build a solid bridge for cultural exchanges between China and Arab countries.
