The newly built connecting project for Maoming South Station on Provincial Highway S280 is one of the key initiatives for implementing the "Overall Plan of Maoming City (2011-2035)." Once completed, the project will significantly enhance the traffic capacity and service level of the main roads in the High-speed Railway New Town, as well as create a regional slow-moving traffic system.

Recently, plans were announced to pave the left lane of the section from K0+066 to K0+600 of Baiyue Avenue.
