Guangzhou's Nansha district will enhance its position as a regional hub and deepen cooperation with Hong Kong and Macao, focusing on the port and maritime sectors, officials said at the fourth Greater Bay Area Port and Shipping Logistics Conference on November 28.

Liu Wei, Secretary of the CPC Nansha District, stated that the district will reinforce its role as a gateway and take a leading position in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area's development. He added that Nansha is drafting its 15th Five-Year Plan, advancing a strategy that integrates its seaport, airport, digital infrastructure hub, financial port, and talent hub.

By upgrading its deep-water seaport, Nansha will enhance multimodal transport and strengthen global distribution, shipping services, and port-based manufacturing. The district aims to become a model of port-industry-city integration.
