Huizhou's air quality ranks 10th nationally in May

According to the national ambient air quality report for May 2025, recently released by the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, Huizhou ranked 10th among 168 key cities in China in the national air quality ranking.

Among the top 20 cities with the lowest PM2.5 concentrations nationwide, Huizhou placed 9th. In the Pearl River Delta region, Huizhou's PM2.5 concentration ranks among the best, surpassed only by Zhongshan, Zhuhai, and Shenzhen.

Information obtained by reporters from the Huizhou Municipal Ecology and Environment Bureau shows that in the first five months of this year, Huizhou's Air Quality Comprehensive Index stood at 2.75, with an excellent/good air quality rate of 95.4%.
