Hengqin launches dedicated government service platform for Macao enterprises

On October 16, the Hengqin-Macao Enterprise Secretarial Platform for Government Affairs was officially launched. Designed as a customized service system for Macao-funded enterprises and investors, this platform will further expand the boundaries of government services, bridge the "last mile" for Macao-funded enterprises entering Hengqin for development, enhance the capacity of cross-border services, and optimize the business environment.

Data shows that as of the end of September, Hengqin hosts 59,700 active market entities. Among them, 7,449 are Macao-funded enterprises, representing a 60.6% increase since the establishment of Hengqin—a growth rate 14 times that of the overall enterprise growth. Macao-funded enterprises now account for 13.2% of the total, demonstrating the synergistic effect of "Macao + Hengqin."

The service platform adopts an innovative model of "government guidance + community organization coordination + enterprise participation." It provides Macao enterprises and investors with comprehensive services covering establishment and market entry, location selection and setup, operational support, policy matching, and development empowerment.

It effectively addresses obstacles in cross-border government procedures, reduces costs for Macao investors, and translates policy benefits into tangible development results and growth opportunities that enterprises can see and feel.

The platform directly tackles challenges faced by Macao enterprises due to systemic differences between the two regions, such as adaptation difficulties, non-standardized intermediary services, and limited government service resources. It offers four main types of services: entity registration, cross-border exclusivity, livelihood support, and comprehensive backing, thereby building a government service ecosystem that covers the entire lifecycle of enterprises.

Focusing on the wide array of needs for Macao enterprises developing in Hengqin, the platform leverages the bridging role of Macao community organizations. Services are provided proactively through both online and offline channels.

Furthermore, a green channel has been established for high-frequency issues, with dedicated government service secretaries providing one-on-one follow-up throughout the process to ensure targeted and personalized service.

In the future, the platform aims to cover over 7,000 Macao enterprises and investors, striving to become an innovative testing ground for aligning rules between Hengqin and Macao and the first stop for Macao residents and enterprises integrating into Hengqin.
