Guangzhou is set to dazzle residents and tourists with a grand fireworks show at Bai'etan GBA Art Center on the first day of the Lunar New Year. The 45-minute fireworks show will feature four themed chapters, enhanced by 2,025 drones, a light show, and video projections. The performance will blend with the city's iconic Pearl River skyline, showcasing Guangzhou's dynamic urban charm, inclusivity, and forward-looking spirit.

Lantern shows and cultural events galore

Guangzhou's Lunar New Year celebrations will also include a series of lantern shows and cultural fairs. Notably, the Greater Bay Area Lantern Festival in Nansha District will span 870 acres, with a 3-kilometer main route, making it the largest lantern festival in China in terms of scale, exhibits, and participating cities.

Other highlights include the Guangfu Temple Fair in Yuexiu District, which will run from February 12 (Lantern Festival) to February 18, offering an extended schedule and diverse activities. Meanwhile, Liwan District's New Year Lantern Festival promises to brighten the city's festive nights.
