The conference invited executives and technical experts from the China Certification and Accreditation Association, TÜV Rheinland Greater China, and other institutions. They delivered thematic speeches and engaged in discussions on topics such as standardized management of inspection institutions, overseas certification, green development in carbon management, and the integration of digitalization and intelligence.
Guangzhou was designated as the country's first national-level high-tech service cluster zone for inspection and testing in 2013. As of the end of 2024, Guangzhou boasts 1,051 inspection and testing institutions with qualification accreditation, generating an annual revenue of RMB 51.064 billion and issuing approximately 37.61 million inspection and testing reports.
There are 132 certification bodies in the city, with 27,313 organizations obtaining various certifications and 109,216 certification certificates issued. Guangzhou is also home to 37 national inspection centers and 76 provincial-level authorized quality inspection stations, ranking first in comprehensive strength among sub-provincial cities nationwide.
Currently, Guangzhou is actively planning to promote the optimization and upgrading of the inspection, testing, and certification service industry. Efforts are being made to strengthen the construction of the certification and accreditation system and enhance market competitiveness and international influence.
This year, the international theme for World Accreditation Day is "Accreditation: Empowering Small and Medium Enterprises," while the domestic theme in China emphasizes that certification, accreditation, inspection, and testing should play a role in fostering coordination and development within the supply chain.
