According to customs statistics, Huizhou's total import and export value from January to August 2025 reached 276.6 billion yuan, marking a 6.7% increase compared to the same period last year. Exports amounted to 159.95 billion yuan, rising by 9.3%, while imports stood at 116.65 billion yuan, up by 3.2%.
During this period, general trade accounted for 138.72 billion yuan of Huizhou's foreign trade, surging 26.9% and representing 50.2% of the city's total import and export value. Processing trade, on the other hand, recorded 89.27 billion yuan, a slight increase of 1.5%, and made up 32.3% of the total.
Among Huizhou's active foreign trade entities, foreign-invested enterprises achieved an import and export value of 141.24 billion yuan, growing by 11.8%. Private enterprises, predominantly small and medium-sized ones, reported 129.32 billion yuan in trade, an increase of 10.6%.
Taiwan Province of China was Huizhou's largest trading partner during the first eight months, followed by ASEAN, the European Union, the United States, and China's Hong Kong. Combined trade with these top five partners totalled 159.29 billion yuan, accounting for 57.6% of the city's total foreign trade value.
