Huizhou's electricity supply and sales both exceed 60 billion kWh

At 00:00 on December 24, the Guangdong Huizhou Power Supply Bureau of China Southern Power Grid announced that in 2025, Huizhou's total electricity supply reached 61.2 billion kilowatt-hours (kWh), an increase of 8.65 percent year on year, while total electricity sales reached 60.1 billion kWh, representing a year-on-year increase of 8.91 percent.

With both supply and sales surpassing 60 billion kWh, Huizhou has become the fifth city in Guangdong Province—and among the five provincial-level regions served by China Southern Power Grid—to achieve this milestone.

Huizhou is currently advancing the development of a "2+1" modern industrial system focused on petrochemical energy, new materials, electronic information, and life health. In the first three quarters of this year, the city's electronics sector recorded a year-on-year growth of 12.9 percent, the petrochemical energy and new materials sector grew by 4.3 percent, and the life and health manufacturing sector expanded by 9.0 percent.

During the same period, total electricity consumption rose 8.5 percent year on year, with industrial electricity use increasing by 8.9 percent, making it the primary driver of overall power demand growth.
