The 2025 Asia General Aviation Exhibition (AERO Asia) began on November 27 in Zhuhai, China, featuring over 380 enterprises from 22 countries and regions. The four-day event emphasizes general aviation and the low-altitude economy, a sector prioritized by the Chinese government for strategic development.

The expo covers approximately 60,000 square meters at the Zhuhai International Airshow Center, double the size of the inaugural edition in 2023. More than 170 aircraft are on display, including helicopters, drones, and electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft. International exhibitors account for about 25% of participants, with companies from Europe, North America, and Asia showcasing the latest technologies.

Chinese manufacturers are presenting new models, such as Wanfeng Aircraft's VoloXpro eVTOL and ZeroG's ZG-T6 tilt-rotor aircraft. The state-owned Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC) is displaying civil aircraft like the AG60 and AG100, alongside unmanned systems such as the Cloud Shadow-80. Daily flight performances include aerobatic displays by South Africa's AERO team and China's Red Star formation team.

Over 70 forums are scheduled during the expo, addressing topics such as regulatory frameworks, sustainable technology, and airspace management. The event highlights China's push to expand its low-altitude economy, which official projections estimate will grow to ¥1.5 trillion ($207 billion) by 2025. Recent policies have accelerated the opening of low-altitude airspace, with 140 new drone delivery routes established in 2024.
The expo runs until November 30. Admission requires prior registration, with shuttle services available from downtown Zhuhai.
