Huizhou reported steady progress in pollution control from January to September, with 96.3% of days recording good or excellent air quality, up 1.5 percentage points year-on-year.

All provincial and national water monitoring sites met top-quality standards, meaning no sites fell below Grade V, the lowest level in China's water grading system. The city's comprehensive air quality index improved by 2.1%, reaching 2.46 over the same period.
The report also noted stronger environmental law enforcement, with 3,672 enterprise inspections, 223 cases filed, and fines totaling over 21.75 million yuan (about 3 million US Dollars).
