Young creators from 10 countries gather in Guangzhou to start HONOR Alpha Art & Tech Tour in China

Young creators from 10 countries gathered in Guangzhou on July 2 to launch the HONOR Alpha Art & Tech Tour in China, a 10-day exchange program that brings together art, technology and cross-cultural collaboration.

Twenty participants from the United Kingdom, France, Malaysia, Indonesia, Italy, Spain, Mexico, Peru, Romania, and Singapore began their journey in Guangzhou, where they also showcased creative works at the opening ceremony. The exhibition featured projects spanning design, digital art and technology, offering participants an opportunity to share ideas and creative perspectives before embarking on their tour across China.

Held at The Westin Guangzhou, the opening ceremony welcomed diplomats, representatives from universities and technology companies, as well as guests from the creative and innovation sectors. Rather than serving as a traditional launch event, the ceremony provided a platform for young creators from different cultural backgrounds to connect, exchange ideas and explore how technology and artistic expression can inspire one another.

Over the next 10 days, the participants will travel to Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Hangzhou and Beijing, visiting leading technology companies, exploring China's innovation ecosystem and experiencing local culture. They will also take part in collaborative workshops that combine design, technology and the humanities, encouraging participants to discover how creativity and emerging technologies can work together to address real-world challenges.

The program is part of HONOR's broader efforts to support youth innovation through its environmental, social and governance (ESG) initiatives. One of its flagship programs, the HONOR Talents Global Design Awards, has reached 47 countries and regions over the past five years, providing more than 35,000 young designers and creators with opportunities to showcase their work on an international stage.

By bringing together young talents from around the world, the program aims to foster new friendships, spark creative collaboration and demonstrate the role of innovation in building a more connected future.
